  • 1pm to 3pm
  • $55 per person, $50 per person for groups.
Visual Journals Workshop

The process of Self Expression through art has profound healing effects. It is well known that a state of happiness and joy strengthens our immune system.

Becoming aware of negativity, processing it and transforming it can help you move into a place of peace. This clears the way for healing to begin, boosting the immune system and resulting in enhanced wellness.

Visual Journals is a course in Expressive Art that explores the use of our right brain language of imagery and inutition to focus on, process and release emotions. Awareness of these emotions and feelings helps us access our authentic self and begin positive change.

You don't need to know how to draw!

"Hatha Yoga" by Inye Hypnoyoga
  • Sun September 17th, 2017
  • 1pm to 2pm
  • $20 per student at door.
Hatha Yoga

“Today’s invitation is…” that’s how I open each of my yoga classes. I believe that by drawing our attention to one aspect of our psyche, it is much easier to observe, and be in touch with our essence, in that very moment. Whether it is “unite your body and mind”, or “cultivate a sense of YES!”, we bring forth pranayama (life force through breathing) in and through the physical, mental, and spiritual sheaths, and reemerge at the end of our practice with better understanding of ourselves.

Yoga goes beyond a series of physical poses. In fact, the original “asana" (posture) contains only one seated meditation pose. It is one part of eight deep philosophical limbs that shift our gaze inward, to review our own behaviours and relationship with our true self. What I mean by “true self” goes beyond thoughts and mental judgements. It is the wisdom of who we really are, the deep vibration that feels the gentleness and compassion with all beings. It recognizes our singular connection to our beautiful planet, and the subtle frequencies that make up the whole universe.

Think of me as a guide, showing you the path that I tread upon, through doors of experiential life. I'll never claim to know what’s ahead of me, as I am also following my own guides. I welcome you all to my class, and let us explore, re-discover, and expand the boundaries of who we are. Because before you know it, you are an ocean of light.

Love of Lambs

As you are aware, Wishing Well Sanctuary became Meadow's forever home one year ago. Rescued moments from becoming someone's Easter dinner, Meadow has become a remarkable and significant member of 'our' animal family and an ambassador for his kind and for all beings faced with similar fates. This is why we have chosen March 26 as a time to celebrate Meadow's one year anniversary here at Wishing Well with a tour and event which celebrates our love of lambs.

    Event Schedule:
  • Tour starts at 12:30. We will meet at our Peace Pole and then proceed to the sheep paddock where we can all share in the experience of feeding our sheep their lunch.
  • Following this we will have a tour of the Sanctuary.
  • Afterward, all are invited to stay for a potluck. Please feel free to bring an item to share. We ask that all items be vegan (free of eggs, dairy and animal products) . We will also provide BBQ veggie burgers at $5 each. Hot and cold drinks will also be available for $2 each.
  • After the potluck, all are invited to join us, big kids and small, in the Wishing Centre to watch Wallace and Gromit -" A Close Shave". This is a delightful claymation story about Wallace and Gromit rescuing a herd of sheep.

  A message from Zoe Weil

During this one day workshop you’ll examine what’s most important to you, combine your passions with your talents, and connect with others who share your commitment to live according to their deepest values to create a just, compassionate world for all.

Our interactive, life-transforming MOGO Workshop will help you:
  • Learn how best to help people, animals, the environment, and yourself all at the same time;
  • Increase your knowledge about the interconnectedness of human rights, animal protection, environmental preservation, and issues of media and culture;

  • Communicate with others more compassionately and effectively;
  • Find support and inspiration through a caring community.

The workshop uses the 7 keys of the MOGO principle as a guide for exploring your values and creating a practical action plan to move forward. Throughout the workshop you’ll explore how to:

  1. Live your epitaph;
  2. Pursue joy through service;
  3. Make connections and self-reflect;
  4. Model your message and work for change;
  5. Find and create community;
